A one hour hypnotherapy session which will follow on either from a free 30 minute consultation or from a previous session.
We will often (nut not always) require that the client be in a relaxed (or trance) state, will enlist the power of the client's own imagination and may utilise a range of techniques from story-telling, metaphor, symoblism or direct suggestions. Analytical techniques may also be employed. It is generally considered helpful if the client is personally motivated to change although a belief in the potential for change may be a sufficient starting point.
Hypnotherapy stimulates our own innate healing ability and therefore can be amenable to an enormous range of problems - some of the most well know, include: anxiety, phobias, unwanted habits & addictions, disrupted sleep patterns, lack of confidence, low self-esteem, fear of public speaking, allergies, skin problems, IBS and many more.
Hypnotherapy has also been proven to be effective in surgery, where normal methods of anaesthetic have not been practical. It also has great use in the wider areas of pain management and in sporting and artistic performance.
Clients are sometimes concerned that they will 'lost control' in hypnosis. General consensus indicates however, that not matter how deeply people go into hypnosis, they actually remain in full control of the situation.
